For Immediate Release

One of the shows that we were pleased to feature on PodFinder Episode 36 is For Immediate Release: The Hobson and Holtz Report.

On January 3 of 2005, the duo of Neville Hobson and Shel Holtz produced this first Podcast ever to specifically address the broad topic of public relations, and they’re still going strong more than three years later. They now produce three additional Podcasts under the FIR banner, and also authored How To Do Everything With Podcasting which was published in the Summer of 2007 by McGraw-Hill.

Here’s a link to the full episode from which we took the excerpt for PodFinder.

Here’s a link for subscription information on their entire lineup, which is as follows.

The Hobson & Holtz Report twice-weekly show at the intersection of online communication and public relations

Interviews with newsmakers and influencers from the online technology and organizational communication worlds

Book Reviews aligned with their theme of PR/communications and the online world

Speakers and Speeches - podcasts of speeches, keynote addresses, breakout sessions, and other recordings from meetings and conferences of interest to PR and communication professionals

Digital Flotsam

This Thursday marks the third anniversary of Digital Flotsam - still one of the best shows on the Net (though we’re a bit biased). The show is produced by original Pod Squad member (and PodFinder Producer) P. W. Fenton.

About 12 and 1/2 minutes into the latest episode, in his own inimitable style, P-Dub calls America back to our better selves. It’s one of the finest things we’ve ever heard in a Podcast.

After you listen, if you’re interested in alternative coverage of the 2008 Presidential race, you might want to check out TRNS including reports from Dan Patterson of the Creepy Sleepy Show.
